INBDE Study Guide: Every Step From Registration to Results
One page that links every INBDE guide on our site, in the order you will need them: understand the exam, register, plan, learn, practise, sit the test, read your result and move on to the next step in the US.
The Study Boards INBDE course gives you daily tasks for the day, faculty-created Modules and Master Files, 35,000+ focused questions, nightly live tests at 9 PM New York time and 8-hour Grand Test mock exams. It is extremely personalised: red lines and assignments are given to you on the go, the course learns from the way you are studying, and faculty are there to assist you. See the INBDE course blueprint.
This hub is the map we give dentists who start with us at The Study Boards. Each card below opens a full guide. Tick off each stage as you finish it.
Understand the exam
Know what you are preparing for
Start here. Most wasted months come from studying the wrong material.
Register
Get your paperwork moving early
Credential reports and approvals take weeks. Start them while you begin studying.
Plan your study
Pick a start date, a schedule and a plan that fits your life
A plan with dates beats a plan with good intentions.
Plans for your situation
Choose your resources
Fewer resources, used properly
Choose a small set you trust and finish it, instead of collecting more.
Every stage, in one course
Our INBDE course turns stages 3 to 6 into 12 sequenced sections with two full 2-day simulation exams. US-licensed dentists answer your questions, not AI.
Learn the clinical topics
High-yield clinical topic guides
Each guide is built from current guidelines, with tables, sources and a short self-check.
Practise
Turn knowledge into marks
Questions, timing and review: this is where most of the score is made.
Avoid the common traps
Test day
Arrive ready, stay steady
Two long days at a testing center. Rehearse them before you sit them.
After the exam
Your result, and what to do with it
A pass shows no number; a fail report shows exactly where to work.
Next steps in the US
After the boards: the routes to practise
Most international dentists apply for Advanced Standing (a 2 to 3 year DDS/DMD through ADEA CAAPID). Others choose an AEGD or residency through ADEA PASS, or teaching.
