The 6-Month INBDE Plan for Full-Time Students: A Day-by-Day System to Pass in 3 to 4 Months

If you are still in school, or just out of it, with real hours to give every day, the 6-month plan is built for you to actually finish early. Here is exactly how the program’s 12 sections fit into a real week, and how our mentors stay involved the whole way through.

$4996-month access, our most recommended runway
12sequenced course sections
3-4moaverage prep time to exam-ready
24/7mentor access, not a chatbot
Two levels, one programBeginner Level is the slower-paced program, with more time and longer deadlines. Advanced Beginner Level gives you all the teachings of the Beginner course at a faster pace and on a faster schedule, and is for students who are really confident about their basics. The only difference is speed. Your basics are taught through the Modules our faculty created for every subject, then the Master Files take you topic by topic, then the Master Test Series lets you apply it all.
What the 6-month plan actually is

One program, 12 sections, sequenced on purpose

This is the same INBDE Premium Boards course at every access length. The 6-month plan is simply our most recommended runway: enough time to build from the basics, with room to spare.

01-04

FoundationClinical Sciences basics, Master Files (16,000+ curated items), individual-subject Master Tests ranked against 350+ peers, then cumulative tests every 2-3 subjects.

05-08

ApplicationDiagnosis Series case vignettes, the full Foundation Knowledge Areas blueprint, a focused 20-day Revision Series, then 10-12 full-syllabus tests built around your own weak spots.

09-12

Exam-ready8-hour Grand Test simulations, daily game-style Test Series, 60-second Rapid Fire rounds, and a nightly 9PM New York surprise Live Test.

Why full-time students usually finish in 3 to 4 months, not 6With real daily hours to give, most students complete all 12 sections well inside the 6-month window. The extra time is there on purpose, as a buffer, not because the program needs it.
What this looks like in a real week

A realistic weekday, built from the program’s own structure

This is TSB’s own suggested rhythm, not a rule. Adjust the order to your own energy levels.

MorningTask for the DayOpen your TSB account, complete the Task for the Day, and mark it done. This is the daily discipline the program is built around, and it takes minutes, not hours.
Midday or afternoonMaster Files, Master Test Series, or Diagnosis Series blockYour main study block for whichever of the 12 sections you are currently on. Full-time students can usually give this real, uninterrupted hours.
Short breaksRapid Fire rounds60 seconds per question, by design. A few rounds between study blocks keep decision speed sharp without eating into your main study time.
9PM New York timeThe nightly Live TestA surprise exam, every night, shown in your own local time. It is the one fixed appointment in the day, and it is where the program’s randomness training actually happens.
How faculty actually stay involved

Staying in touch with mentors, not just content

This is built into the program, not an add-on you have to ask for.

Queries and Help SectionStuck on a concept? Submit your question directly, and a mentor answers you personally. This is 1:1 support from the program’s faculty, not a forum thread or a bot, and it is available any time, not on a fixed schedule.

Ranked

Your Master Test Series results are watchedSubject mocks are run against 350+ peers per batch, with rankings calculated automatically. Consistently landing in the last 50 is a timely signal built into the program for mentors to step in and adjust your study strategy before it becomes a bigger problem.

The sequencing itself is mentor coordinationEach of the 12 sections is delivered under daily mentor coordination, in an order chosen for a reason: Clinical Sciences first, because that is where the INBDE rewards application, and application is the hardest skill to build late. You are not guessing what to study next.

A suggested 6-month pacing map

This is TSB’s own suggested pace for a full-time student working through all 12 sections, built with real buffer room. Your mentor can adjust it to your actual progress.

Months 1 to 2Sections 1 to 4: build the foundationBasics through our faculty-created Modules, Master Files, and your first individual-subject Master Tests, with cumulative tests folded in every 2 to 3 subjects.
Months 2 to 3Sections 5 to 6: apply and cover the blueprintDiagnosis Series case vignettes alongside the Foundation Knowledge Areas, so application and blueprint coverage build together.
Month 4Sections 7 to 8: revise, then test your weak zonesThe 20-day Revision Series, followed by 10 to 12 full-syllabus tests built specifically around whatever your earlier results flagged as weak.
Months 4 to 5Sections 9 to 12: go exam-ready8-hour Grand Test simulations, daily game-style tests, Rapid Fire, and the nightly Live Test all running together as your exam-day conditioning.
Month 6BufferHeld in reserve for anything that needs more time. Most full-time students do not need it, which is exactly the point of a 6-month runway.

12 tips, in three groups

Tap a group.

1
Never skip the Task for the Day

It is a small daily action by design. The discipline of completing it every single day compounds over 6 months far more than any single long study session.

2
Do not rush past Clinical Sciences

The program leads with Clinical Sciences because that is where the INBDE rewards application, not recall. Build this foundation properly before moving on, since application is the hardest skill to bolt on later.

3
Treat the 16,000+ Master Files items as your core, not extra reading

These are the concrete, curated synopses of what actually matters. Depth here is your real competitive advantage, so learn them properly rather than skimming for volume.

4
Decide quickly on Daily Test Series questions

The game format is deliberate: three lives a day, and skipping does not cost one. Many students waste 15 to 20 minutes on a single question they do not truly understand. Learn to recognise that moment and move on.

5
Watch your own ranking, not just your score

Master Test Series rankings against 350+ peers tell you where you really stand, not just whether you felt confident. Consistently landing in the last 50 is your own early signal to ask your mentor for help before it compounds.

6
Never skip a cumulative test

They are placed every 2 to 3 subjects for a reason: to stop earlier material leaking out of memory while you move on to new content. Skipping them undermines the whole sequencing logic of the program.

7
Use the Diagnosis Series to practice judgment, not just facts

Case vignettes are where knowledge turns into exam-ready clinical reasoning. Read them the way you would a real patient case, not a multiple-choice drill.

8
Let your weak-zone results actually shape your revision

Your 20-Day Revision Series and your full-syllabus tests are built around your own accuracy data from earlier sections. The more honestly you engage with the earlier tests, the better targeted this later stage becomes.

9
Treat every Grand Test as the real exam

These are 8-hour simulations with a 15-minute break, matching the actual exam length. Sit them exactly as you would sit the INBDE itself, stamina and all, not as a casual practice round.

10
Use Rapid Fire to kill hesitation, not just speed

60 seconds a question is fast by design. The goal is trusting your preparation enough to decide quickly, which is exactly the skill that panics under real exam-day pressure.

11
Show up for the nightly Live Test even when you feel ready

The randomness is the point: one question Endodontics, the next Periodontics, with no warning. That is deliberately closer to the real INBDE than any subject-sorted practice set.

12
Protect your 6th month as a real buffer

If you finish the 12 sections in 3 to 4 months, do not stop working. Use the spare time for more Grand Tests and nightly Live Tests rather than treating an early finish as a reason to coast.

Quick answers

Frequently asked questions

Is the 6-month plan different content from the 3 or 12-month plans?
No. Every plan unlocks the exact same 12 sections, the same mentors, and the same nightly Live Tests. The only difference between plans is how much access time you have, not what is inside.
Do I really need all 6 months if I am studying full-time?
Most full-time students complete all 12 sections in 3 to 4 months. The 6-month length is a deliberate buffer, not a requirement to use every day of it.
How exactly do mentors know when to step in?
Your Master Test Series results are ranked against your batch automatically. Consistently landing in the last 50 is a built-in signal for mentors to review your strategy, in addition to anything you raise yourself through the Queries and Help Section.
What happens if I do not pass after finishing the program?
If you finish the course with no overdue days and score 60% or more on every test along the way, and still do not pass the INBDE, TSB refunds your course fee and your INBDE exam registration fee (approximately $1,000 USD).
