Bolster Your Profile with a
Published Research Paper
Only a small percentage of dental school applicants have a robust research profile with collaborations among American dentists. The Research Gate Project gives you access to exactly that — a peer-reviewed publication under the guidance of Dr. T and Dr. Kaur, listed permanently on ResearchGate with full co-author credit.

When it comes to improving your profile, research aptitude and publications hold immense value. Dental schools seek candidates who not only demonstrate academic excellence but also possess a passion for advancing the field through research.
By actively engaging in research and publishing your findings, you can showcase your dedication, critical thinking skills, and commitment to staying at the forefront of dentistry. A published case report signals that you are already participating in the academic culture of dentistry in the United States — not merely preparing to enter it.
Research experience and publications set you apart from other applicants. They demonstrate your ability to critically analyze dental cases, contribute to the existing knowledge base, and make a positive impact on the field. Dental schools value candidates who have a strong foundation in research, as it indicates your potential for future advancements and contributions to the dental profession.
What You Gain from This Project
Only a Small Percentage of
Applicants Have This
The vast majority of CAAPID applicants arrive with clinical experience, DAT scores, and shadow hours. Very few can point to a co-authored, peer-reviewed publication with a U.S.-licensed dentist. That gap is your opportunity. By participating in the Research Gate Project, you gain access to mentorship from Dr. T and Dr. Kaur and build a high-quality research portfolio that positions you in a category most applicants simply cannot reach.
Apply with Your CV
Submit your curriculum vitae to Support@thestudyboards.com, expressing your interest in joining the Research Gate Project. Your CV is the first indicator of your research potential and background.
Interview Call with Faculty
If your CV stands out, you will receive an interview call with faculty members — including Dr. T and Dr. Kaur — who assess your research potential and compatibility with the project.
Acceptance and Enrollment
Upon acceptance, an initial payment of $250 USD secures your enrollment. A second payment of $250 USD is required before publication. The total program investment is $500 USD. You will be assigned a clinical case report to begin working on under faculty supervision.
Submissions, Feedback, and Authorship
Your assignments and submissions are evaluated throughout the process. Based on the quality and depth of your contributions, you may earn authorship credits on the research paper.
Final Thesis and Publication
After multiple rounds of revisions and feedback, your final thesis is submitted to the publisher. Publication typically takes 4 to 5 months, depending on the thoroughness of your research and preparation.
Payments are structured in two installments to align with your progress — enrollment first, publication second.
Publishing with a U.S. Licensed Dentist Adds Immense Credibility
There is a meaningful difference between a publication under any author and a publication under a U.S.-licensed, actively practicing dentist. Admissions committees understand that clinical research supervised by a licensed American clinician reflects real engagement with the U.S. standard of care — not theoretical familiarity with it.
Over 17 case studies have been published through this program, with more than 100 international dental graduates named as co-authors. Each publication is a clinically grounded case study written with rigor, submitted to a peer-reviewed journal, and now permanently accessible on ResearchGate under each student's verified name. That record of achievement cannot be fabricated, inflated, or replicated by simply listing "research experience" on an application.
Stand Out from the Competition
Most applicants have similar academic profiles. A peer-reviewed publication with a U.S.-licensed dentist is a differentiator the vast majority of applicants simply cannot match.
Build a High-Quality Research Portfolio
The mentorship of Dr. T and Dr. Kaur ensures that the quality of your published work reflects genuine clinical engagement — not a superficial research exercise.
Anchor Your Personal Statement
A concrete research experience gives your personal statement a genuine, specific story. It shifts your narrative from aspirational to demonstrated, which is what admissions committees remember.
A Permanent Academic Record
Your ResearchGate listing and DOI exist permanently beyond the application cycle. As your career develops, that early publication remains a growing, enduring part of your academic identity.
Searchable by Name
Admissions faculty, program directors, and professional contacts can search your name and find your publication instantly — no login required.
Research Interest Score
A composite score based on reads, recommendations, and citations from other ResearchGate members. It grows over time as your paper reaches a broader audience.
Reads and Citations
ResearchGate tracks how many times your paper has been read and whether other researchers have cited it in their own work — both are meaningful indicators of impact.
