How Our Modules Work: The Faculty-Written Way to Learn Your INBDE Basics

Every subject in our program starts with a Module our faculty wrote for you. Here is what a Module looks like, where it sits in your study plan, and why it replaces the old way of reading decks and dense textbooks.

What a Module is

Your basics, taught the way a faculty member would teach them

A Module is a structured learning document for one subject, created by our faculty. It is where your basics are built, before you are exposed to the Master Question Files and the Master Test Series.

Learn

You learn it easilyEach subject is broken into numbered Modules and topics, in a clear order, so you always know where you are.

Adapt

You see how it will be taughtThe Module shows you how the subject is approached, so you adapt to the way our program teaches before the questions begin.

Why

You understand why it mattersYou see the relevance of each topic first, so when you meet it in a question, it is not a surprise.

What a Module actually looks like

These are real pages from our current Operative Module, in the same Navy and Gold design you will use: a cover with the contents, then teaching pages with diagrams, tables and clear structure. Tap any page to enlarge it.

Where Modules fit

Three stages, in this order

Your preparation for every subject follows the same path.

Stage 1Modules: you learn the subjectYou learn the basics easily, see how the subject will be taught, and understand why it matters before you are exposed to the Master Question Files.
Stage 2Master Question Files: topic by topicYou go through each subject topic by topic and see what will be tested in that subject, which topics matter, and how each topic could be tested in your examination.
Stage 3Master Test Series: you apply itExhaustive tests on every concept let you apply the knowledge you gained from the Modules and the Master Question Files.

This is how it shows up on your Active Card

Each subject becomes a card with a short list of tasks. Here the card is Periodontics: you open the Module, work through the Master Questions, then the Master Diagnosis Series. The Master Test Series is waiting as the next card.

Zoom out and your whole board alternates in the same rhythm: a Master card where you learn and practise a subject, then a Master Test Series card where you test it.

Why we changed

Reading decks and dense text is the old-fashioned way

It rewards time spent reading, not understanding. Our Modules are written to teach, and they hand you straight to the questions that prove you learned. If you want to see how we used to approach decks, our Dental Decks guide now explains the change.
