ADAT and Canadian Degree Completion Programs for Indian Dentists (2026)
If you are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, you can earn a Canadian DDS or DMD in two to three years through a degree completion program for internationally trained dentists. The ADAT is the exam most of these programs use to rank applicants. Here is how the ADAT works, which programs exist, and what they cost.
The ADAT: what it tests
The Advanced Dental Admission Test is run by the American Dental Association and taken at Pearson VUE test centres in the US and at select locations in Canada.
That is 200 questions in about 4.5 hours, reported as a scaled score from 200 to 800. The fee is US$465, plus a US$435 fee for graduates of non-CODA programs such as an Indian BDS. Programs compare applicants on this score, so a strong ADAT is your best lever for a seat.
Our full ADAT preparation plan
Seats are few and the ADAT decides who gets an interview. The Study Boards runs a complete ADAT program and a separate set of full-length simulations.
ADAT Premium BoardsA structured program built around the real exam:
- 13 sequenced sections, from basics to full simulations
- 16,000+ ADAT-framed points, concept-driven and clutter-free
- Biomedical and biostatistics tracks for the two sections that separate scores
- Subject mocks against 350+ peers and daily mentor coordination
4 full-length ADAT simulation examsFour complete, timed exams that mirror the real ADAT, with a full explanation for every question. Ideal for your final weeks, or alongside your own preparation.See the Simulation Exams
