INBDE STUDY FIX

Stop Repeating the Same Mistakes. Track Them in Three Lines.

Most students keep getting the same concepts wrong and never notice, because they never write them down. The fix takes three lines per mistake and one look a week.

THE MISTAKE

Why You Keep Getting It Wrong

You get a question on local anesthesia wrong. You read the explanation, it makes sense, you move on. Two weeks later the same concept comes back in a different question, and you get it wrong again. You are repeating the mistake and you do not even know it. Why? Because you are not tracking it.

Without tracking

1Get a question wrong
2Read the answer, nod, move on
3Meet the same concept in a new question
4Get it wrong again

The loop repeats

With a three-line log

1Get a question wrong
2Write three lines about it
3Relearn the weak concept
4Review the page every week

The mistake ends here

WHAT TRACKING MEANS

Track the Concept, Not the Question

Copying out the full question

Slow, boring, and you will never read it again. The exact question will not come back anyway.

A 45-year-old patient presents for extraction of tooth #19. Medical history reveals… options A, B, C, D, E… correct answer… explanation…

Logging the weak concept

Name the concept you did not understand, make that understanding solid, and make sure the same mistake does not happen again. That is all tracking means.

THE FIX

Keep It Simple: Three Lines

1

The topic

The concept you missed, named clearly. Not “question 14”, but “maximum local anesthetic dose”.

2

Why you missed it

Be honest. Did you not know it, mix two things up, misread the question, or rush?

3

What you did about it

What you have done so it does not happen again: relearned it, drew it, practised five more questions.

Try it: build your mistake logFour examples are filled in. Add your own below.
Add to my log
TOPIC
WHY I MISSED IT
WHAT I DID ABOUT IT
Local anesthesia: maximum dose
Used the wrong milligrams per cartridge
Relearned it: 2% is 36 mg per 1.8 mL cartridge. Did five dose problems.
Occlusion: canine guidance vs group function
Mixed up which teeth touch on the working side
Drew both schemes side by side and redid ten questions.
Grafting: types of bone graft
Confused allograft with xenograft
Made a one-line table: own body, same species, other species, synthetic.
Diagnosis: reversible vs irreversible pulpitis
Missed that lingering pain means irreversible
Reviewed the pulpal diagnosis table and wrote the key signs from memory.

THE HABIT

Look at That Page Once Every Week

That is it. Pick one day, the same day every week, and give your log a quick review. Watch the week go round, then try the review yourself.

QUESTIONS STUDENTS ASK

Mistake Log: Common Questions

No. Copying the full question takes time and teaches you nothing new. Write the weak concept, why you missed it, and what you did about it. Three lines is enough.

Anywhere you will actually open it: a notebook, a phone note or a spreadsheet. You can also build one on this page and copy it out. What matters is that it lives in one place.

Once every week. Read each line and ask yourself whether you could now answer any question on that concept. If you can, tick it off. If not, relearn it again.

Any question you got wrong, and any question you got right by guessing. A lucky guess is a weak concept that has not cost you marks yet.

That is the log doing its job. A topic that appears again and again is your biggest weakness, so give it a proper study session before your next test.

Our Master Files teach every concept properly, the question bank is sorted by subject so you can drill a weak topic, and the Simulation Exams feel like the real test. When a concept will not stick, the Queries & Help Section puts your question in front of our faculty.
