What is the CASPER Test?
CASPER (Computer Based Assessment for Sampling Personal Characteristics) is an online, open response situational judgment test (SJT) that evaluates social intelligence and professionalism through real-world scenarios.
Test Structure
- Total Scenarios: 11
- 4 video-response scenarios
- 7 typed-response scenarios
Response Format:
- Video scenarios: 2 questions each, recorded live (1 minute per question)
- Typed scenarios: 2 questions per scenario, all shown at once, with 3.5 minutes total to type both answers
Order of Sections:
Video-response section first, followed by typed-response section
Total Duration:
65–85 minutes, with optional breaks (10 minutes after video section; 5 minutes after first 4 typed scenarios)
This format emphasizes authentic, time sensitive responses that reflect ethical reasoning and interpersonal effectiveness.
